Diary of An Oregon Trail Spinster
Written by Brennan Dwyer
Directed by Genevieve Fowler
The Diary of an Oregon Trail Spinster is a brand new single-woman play about arduously voyaging the Oregon Trail… video game. Bringing the 1990s game to life on stage, this gritty and hilarious play confronts a Millennial woman’s experience with late-stage capitalism, crippling body shame, the trap of falling in love with a European, and the joyful frustration of being an artist.
“This advanced workshop production used projections to bring the video game to life,
constantly and seamlessly blurring the line between the game world and the real-life struggles
of a woman trying to find her place…....I loved it”
